CTX/CIX 100,100S Rechargable (INSKIN) BatterySupply

- Install CTX/CIX 100 or 100s unto your backboard. Make sure to secure the system as securely as possible to help compensate for the extra wieght of the battery backup.

- Remove left side cover and top cover of the telephone system.

-Install ABCS card according to the Toshiba Installation and Maintenance Manual.

- While holding the battery backup with the tail facing the backboard, gently insert the back flange of the battery backup ontop of the rear horizontal wall of the telephone system. The side closest to the backboard of the battery backup should 'sit' on horizontal wall.

- While keeping the back tail of the battery backup securely ontop of the phone system's horizatonal edge, push gently up on the front of the battery backup until the unit is parallel with the bottom of the phone system.

- Install three self taping screws through front of the KSU to secure the battery backup.

- The battery backup should now be securely fastened to the phone system.

- Run the tail of the battery backup along the left side of the phone system being careful not to pinch the tail when replacing the left panel of the phone system.

-Plug the tail into the ABCS card on the top side of the phone system.
- Once the tail of the battery backup has been plugged into the ABCS card, the system needs to be tested using the battery backup's power. To test the battery backup, take a backup of the system's programming as a precaution. After the backup is complete, unplug the phone system from the power supply. The DC light should remain lit and the system should continue to work as normal drawing off the power of the battery backup. The AC light should be dim because of the loss of the AC power. Once you confirm both of the LEDs are lit correctly, plug the phone system back into the wall. Replace all missing external covers on the phone system.
