The SMC-EZ108FDT is an 8-port auto-MDIX 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX switch with one Fiber Uplink expansion slot. Designed to be as easy to install and use as an ordinary hub, this unmanaged switch features 1.6 Gbps aggregate bandwidth, 10BaseT/100BaseTX switching ports, a rear panel slot to accommodate one of five optional fiber uplink modules (ST-MM, SC-SM, MTJR-MM, MTJR-SM, and VF-45-MM), and a sliding switch for VLAN configurations. When turned on, all ports are automatically segregated into individual VLANs. The SMC-EZ108FDT is the perfect solution for workgroups that require security but, at the same time, still have access to distance servers or backbone connection. Cascadable when using fiber port option, the SMC-EZ108FDT provides full-duplex port speeds up to 200 Mbps on each port, and a range of key features, including: automatic address learning with a 8K MAC address table, store-and-forward architecture, half- and full-duplex flow control, and filtering and forwarding on all ports.
