The SMC7024/VSP is an Extended Ethernet (EE) splitter that delivers network and Internet access to multi-unit buildings and enterprise environments like hospitals, universities, and manufacturing facilities. Using three RJ-21 ports and existing Category 1, 2, or 3 wiring for telephones, it delivers 15 Mbps of broadband connectivity at distances up to 1500 m. It also minimizes rewiring hassles by delivering voice and data access on the same line as Plain Old Telephone Service, digital telephones, and ISDN.
